Claressa Shields vs Savannah Marshall Full Preview, Undercard Start Time and Live Stream

A fierce decade-long rivalry, USA vs UK, Unbeaten vs unbeaten. It's time for Claressa Shields vs Savannah Marshall.

After the postponement of the original date of September 10th due to the death of the Queen, an historic night of boxing arrives at the world famous O2 Arena, London. Saturday night sees the first ever all female undercard take place and set alight the capital.

A talented card from top to bottom, that includes world champions, Olympians, and prospects for the future.

Following on from the mega fight that took place in New York earlier in the year between Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor, we move to the Middleweight division and see a huge Undisputed clash that has a rivalry stretching back to the amateurs.

Marshall is the only fighter to ever defeat Shields in either the amateur or professional ranks.

The fight is being named a typical 'Boxer vs Puncher' fight, as Marshall is known for her brutal power that she has used to stop ten of her twelve opponents to date.

Claressa has an acute and clever style, that none of her opponents have managed to work out. The American is not a profound puncher with only two knockouts on her record.

"I've been undisputed twice, this will be the third time for me. I've already been undisputed at 160lbs before. It means a lot to be undisputed. But it means more to avenge my only loss" Shields said. [Sky Sports Boxing]

This fight has been a long time coming, but we are here now and on September 10, I will be the new undisputed middleweight champion of the world." Said Marshall

I’ve knocked out people you went 10 rounds with. I’m not just going to beat you. I’m going to hurt you and outbox you. That’s all you need to know. I’m a better fighter. I’ll have all her world titles on September 10."

In the co-main, a fight worthy of a headline slot, Mikaela Mayer (17-0 5 KOs) faces bitter rival Alycia Baumgardner (12-1 7 KOs) with the IBF, WBC, WBA, and IBO World Titles on the line.

Mayer comes into this fight unbeaten in her seventeen outings so far, making her fifth appearance in a world title fight. She most recently beat Jennifer Han in April over twelve rounds.

Baumgardner holds just one career loss to date, since then she has built up momentum and won six consecutive fights picking up WBC and IBO World Titles. The American stunned Terri Harper late last year to snatch the World Title in just four rounds and ever since that victory, she was very vocal about wanting to fight Mayer.

Olympic gold medalist, Lauren Price (1-0), looks to carry on her progress in the professional ranks after her successful debut in June as she takes on Timea Belik (6-6).

One of the most promising female fighters from the UK shores and fellow Olympian, Caroline Dubois (3-0 2 KOs), takes to the ring for the fourth time this year when she fights Milena Koleva (10-14-1).

Kariss Artingstall, Ebonie Jones and April Hunter also join the all female card at the O2 Arena.
